Release notes

The dataset is rebuilt monthly: new facilities are added, development statuses advance as projects move from planning through construction into service, values are corrected against new evidence, and coverage grows. Every change ships as a new immutable release with its own ID and SHA-256 checksum — a release that has been sold is never edited in place, so the file you bought stays byte-for-byte reproducible. This page records what changed in each release.

Update cadence

Monthly rebuild, checked by automated release gates and reviewed by a person before publication.
New facilities and new evidence are added; existing facility IDs are permanent.
Development-status changes are applied with the public page that proves them.
Corrections ship in the next release — never as silent edits to a delivered file.
A subscription always serves the current release; a purchased CSV is bound to its named release forever.

China coverage expansion and stable facility IDs

327 Chinese facilities graduated from the discovery channel to fully catalogued records under permanent facility IDs, each existence-verified against operator, government, or press pages.
Net facility count rises to 9,672 across 172 countries; every record carries at least one public source link.
485 field-level facts — rack counts, floor areas, PUE, cooling, build-out ceilings — gained their own public source URLs.
Grid-supply-rating capacity ceilings are now distinguished from announced build-out ceilings in the complete dataset.

Rights-reviewed rebuild

Full rebuild under the source-rights review gate: every published value now requires a recorded rights basis for its source, and rows that could not meet it were withheld rather than shipped.
Release registry introduced: every release is fingerprinted by SHA-256 checksum and row count, and an ID can never be reused for different content.

Independent verification sweeps re-verified the highest-impact operating records against their sources; corrections applied through versioned overlays.
